Bob: Another moldy oldy of the same vintage as 'Illuminous Love.' Illuminous... Is that a word, anyway? I dunno, Glenn made it up, so it's S. E. P. This was written in 1984 or so, while I was playing in 'Relevance,' with Dion Schofield and Glenn Anderson, which was a bizarre little trio in much the same way Providence is: An amalgam of diverse styles. Dion was an AC/DC nut, and Glenn thought Charlie Watts was the cat's ass. Like most high school bands, we were creative, but less than technically perfect.
Ben: Soda pop, Providence style, over and over and over and over bend over.....
A cute ditty that brings me back to high school band days. Although, I was busily engaged in creating very weird music back then, not sock-hop anthems. And, plus also, too, as well, this song received very simple drumming to match the song's overall replay redundant feel. Don't get me wrong. I missed out being a regular school kid, so I must experience what I missed now. You are liquid, man.
Over and over and over and over,
Over and over and over and over.
In the heat of the night you were calling to me,
I hear you baby, let me be.
Another lonely night has come,
You've haunted me since you've been gone.
I see your face everywhere I turn,
I feel your searing passion burn,
Your voice is what does me in, my friend,
I hear it again and again and again.
Over and over and over and over,
Over and over and over and over.
We took the chance that we had to take,
How could we know that out hearts would break,
Our golden moment's been and gone,
Two more people left alone,
It wasn't choice it was predestinantion,
That put us together and ripped us apart again,
You know if I had the chance, my friend,
I'd do it again and again and again.
Over and over and over and over,
Over and over and over and over.
Solo
Over and over and over and over,
Over and over and over and over.
Over and over and over and over,
Over and over and over and over.
Over again.
